5 Pregnancy Safe Products to Replace Your Botox

“I’m pregnant - what can I do since I can’t have Botox?”

If you’re new here, then you may not know that there aren’t enough studies on pregnant or nursing women to mark neurotoxins safe during pregnancy or while nursing. We know first hand how hard it can feel to not be able to keep the lines and wrinkles away, especially during a time in life when self-care is minimal and exhaustion is high… but we’ve curated a list of pregnancy-nursing safe products to help minimize those lines and keep your self-care game up.

#1 - Biologique Recherche’s Creme Biofixine

Creme Biofixine, or what we often refer to as “Botox in a jar” is one of BR’s best anti-aging creams they have to offer. It’s a thick, creamy moisturizer that can be used both day and night. A little goes a long way, so just using a pea-sized amount keeps your skin plump and hydrated, helping those wrinkles stay practically nonexistent.

#2 Biologique Recherche’s Creme Contour de Yeux et Levres Biofixine

The BFF to Creme Biofixine is *takes a deep breath* Creme Contour de Yeux et Levres Biofixine… AKA Biofixine eye (and lip!) cream. This fan-favorite eye cream has all the hydrating and anti-aging benefits that you get from Creme Biofixine, and in addition, a cryo stick applicator that reduces puffiness and contours your undereye perfectly.

Using this cream around your mouth will reduce signs of aging on and around your lips — which is great since filler is also not recommended during pregnancy. You’re able to treat two areas with one product, which makes us love this multipurpose cream even more.

Pro tip: store your cream in the fridge so the cryo stick is nice and cool during application.

#3 - Elta MD’s Clear (SPF 46) Sunscreen

If you could only choose one product to own, make it sunscreen. It’ll be the best $35 you’ll ever spend on your skin. Most sunscreens can feel too thick or leave a residue but Clear does not. With added moisturizing hyaluronic acid, this sunscreen rubs in easily and leaves you feeling moisturized and protected. This medical-grade physical sunscreen is a staple in our office staff’s skincare routine. Thank us later.

#4 - Biologique Recherche’s P50

It’s our number one best seller for a reason. This miracle toner not only balances your skin’s pH and helps brighten, but it also offers gentle exfoliation which helps keep your skin plump and hydrated. They don’t call it a facial in a bottle for nothing. Just keep in mind that not all variations are pregnancy/nursing safe. Shelf both P50 1970 and P50V 1970 until you’re no longer pregnant or nursing. If you need help finding which P50 is right for you, you can call or office or take our quiz here.

#5 Biologique Recherche’s Biomagic Mask

This clay-based, mineral-packed mask is going to be your best friend. Biomagic works its magic (see what we did there?) by purifying and tightening your skin. Unlike its four predecessors on this list, Biomagic does not hydrate like the rest of the anti-aging must-haves. Why did we list it? If you’ve had a Botox treatment or an Aquagold treatment with us, then you know a sweet benefit of any neurotoxin is the porcelain-like skin you have after your treatment. Botox tightens your pores and gives you a beautiful glow.
